1ST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON 'AYURVED FOR CANCER'

1st International conference on ' Ayurved for Cancer' was organized on 6th and 7th December under guidance of Dr. Arvind Kulkarni, Chairman of the conference and Vd. Prashant Suru co-ordinated the event. The effort was made to present the research work of the project in last 3 years. Various research papers were presented by the trust in the conference along with many others from through out the globe. More than 200 delegates participated in the two-day event in which many researchers from abroad presented their work too. The open discussion on ' Ayurved for Cancer' from different angles was highlight of the conference. Outcome of the Research in this field place us to state that assurance can be given to the cancer patients for the relief and not the complete cure.

II INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON "AYURVED FOR CANCER"

The conference was inaugurated by the president of the Central Council of Indian Medicine, Respected Vaidya Pandit, Shri Sriramji Sharma. On this occasion the souvenir "ASHWASANA" was released by well-known legal expert, Respected, Advocate, Shri C.R.Dalvi. The chief guest Respected, Vaidya Shri. R.R. Padmawar, Director of Ayurved, Maharashtra State released the I st volume of the "Vishwa Shanti Vruttanta" which will be a monthly periodical. Also on this occasion an exhibition was held in the 'Kaladalan' of Balagandharva Rangamandir. This was aimed at making the common man aware of the cancer disease and its causes. Some posters also had information about Ayurvedic concepts of diet, daily regimen, Seasonal regimen, Panchakarma etc. that helps to keep away the various diseases. The esteemed Ayurved expert, Dr.Krishnakumar from Australia, inaugurated the exhibition. The exhibition was well appreciated by the residents of Pune.
In the post lunch session on the 9/02/02, "Fight Against Cancer" topic was taken up for the benefit of the common man. In this, experts from both Ayurvedic & Allopathic fields dealt with, questions & answers of common man. The Chief Guest for this function was well known journalist shri Vijay Kuvalekar, and was co-ordinated by Vd. Prashant Suru.

The Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust, Wagholi, held its II nd cancer conference on the 9th and 10th February 2002, at the venue of Balagandharva Rangamandir, Pune.
Delegates and experts from Germany, Japan, America, Austria and Australia participated in the Conference. About 450 physicians from India had attended too.

National and international physicians, who delivered lectures, which proved as valuable guidance to those present, attended this two-day conference. To name a few speakers, Vd. C.P. Shukla, Vd. S.P.Saredeshmukh, Dr. Krishnakumar, Vd. Vilas Nanal, Vd. Dilip Gadgil, Dr. Andriana, Dr. Morell and others. Also, about 22 other physicians read out their research papers. The assistant physicians read out their research papers. The assistant physicians of the "Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust" belonging to the "Cancer Research Project" which is functioning since 1994, presented their nine research papers and observations. On the 10/02/02 in the "Patient's Session" which was conducted by Dr. Arvind Kulkarni, the coordinator of this cancer research project, few patients who are taking treatment under the "Cancer Research Project" shared their experiences.

The session concluded on the evening of 10/02/02 by the retired Income Tax Officer of Germany, Shri V.N.Shah.
